Nigerian Lawyer, Agbakoba (SAN) Sues Buhari for Being Petroleum Minister

Foremost Maritime lawyer and former President, Nigerian Bar Association, Olisa Agbakoba has filed a claim at the Federal High Court, Abuja against the Federal Government of Nigeria via the Attorney General of the Federation, to determine the constitutional qualification of the President of Nigeria to also hold executive office as Minister of Petroleum Resources.

According to The Sun, Agbakoba, in a statement released by his Chambers, argue that on the basis of section 138 of the Constitution disqualifying the President of Nigeria from taking any paid employment or holding executive office of Minister of Petroleum Resources, the President cannot hold office as Minister of Petroleum Resources.

For instance, in early 2007, an indigenous satellite TV company, HiTV came into existence to compete with the South African based cable company. To an average dish and decoder owner, they are more concerned with that company that can offer them value for their money.

Canadian pastor, wife face series of sexual assault charges

A Canadian pastor, 34-year-old Samuel Emerson, and his wife, Madelaine Emerson, 37, are facing more than two dozen charges Wednesday after being accused of allegedly sexually assaulting people from 2015 until 2017.

Samuel was a pastor in Surrey, British Columbia, at the non-denominational Cloverdale Christian Fellowship Church.

Kenya police shoot dead two opposition protesters


Police in western Kenya shot dead two opposition protesters who allegedly threw rocks at a police station, while officers used tear gas on rallies in the capital and elsewhere demanding reforms ahead of a looming presidential vote re-run.

Osinbajo now has PhD in lying – Asari Dokubo attacks Vice President [VIDEO]

Former Niger Delta warlord, Mujaheed Asari Dokubo has lambasted Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo describing him as a great liar.

Asara said the vice President now had PhD in lying.

The ex-militant leader said this in a video he shared on Friday in reaction to the NNPC contract saga.

There have been conflicting reports of Osinbajo’s alleged approval of NNPC contracts worth over N600 billion while Buhari was away on medical leave in London.

In a statement by his Media aide, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo had admitted that he approved some contracts for the NNPC but later clarified that it was loan agreements he approved not Oil contracts.

Asari, in the video attacked Osinbajo, saying that he now “has PhD in Lying.”

South Africa's Supreme court of appeal rules that President Zuma must face corruption charges!

SA Supreme Court of Appeal has ruled that South Africa's President Jacob Zuma must face charges of corruption, fraud, racketeering and money laundering.

On Thursday, the ECOWAS Court imposed a fine of N18 million on the Nigerian Federal government for violating the human rights of three Nigerian women in 2011 when it labelled them prostitutes.

The three women Dorothy Njemanze, a popular activist, Justina Etim and Amarachi Jessyford are to be paid the sum of N6 million each by the federal government for their unlawful arrest, detention and being called as prostitutes in Abuja.

Delivering judgment in the court action instituted against the government at the regional court, Justice Friday Chijoke Nwoke ordered the government to pay the sum to the three ladies as compensation for the humiliation and inhuman treatment they suffered during their arbitrary arrest and designating them prostitutes.

Customs intercepts 27 Toyota Hilux vans worth N432m in Abuja

Trump to stop paying Obamacare subsidies for the poor

President Donald Trump plans to end a key set of Obamacare subsidies that helped lower-income Americans pay for health care.

The corpse of a yet to be identified young lady was dumped on Market road by Akintola road in Sapele, Delta state at about 10pm last night October 12th. According to eyewitnesses, a small dark car brought the lady to the area and dumped her body. No one knew the deceased was being dumped as the area was enveloped in darkness.

No identity card was found on her. All her vital organs were also intact but a small portion of her hair was reportedly shaved off. The police have been alerted while the corpse has been moved to the morgue.
